Saturday December 12th 2008 - Munich

Had planned to get up and go to Nuremberg today, but really couldn't be bothered getting up early enough, so decided to do that tomorrow, and today go to the BMW Museum. Had to transfer some money and stuff so while I was doing that a South African girl started chatting to me. They were going to the BMW museum as well (her and her brother) so we headed off together.  They were rather weird, the day revealed, well he more than her. They were brother and sister, oops, I already said that, and he's a highly successful architect in London, he told me. Hmm. Anyway, we went to the BMW Museum, and that was interesting. Not fascinating, but interesting. Olympic Park was over the road and next on the agenda. It was dark and just as I'd been told a few days earlier, not really worth the effort!! It's just a big park of sport stadiums and facilities! Returned from there to the hostel and I tried to give the South Africans a bum steer about plans for the evening. Eventually I went out for some Turkish for dinner, then when Gus and Tascilla returned later, we made our way to the Haufbrauhaus. Jason, who'd agreed the night before to come with us, managed to go missing at departure time - he claimed to not remember agreeing to go to a beer hall, and seemed surprised that there were beer halls IN Munich! Go figure! We had a fine old time down there anyway, met up with a few guys from Bavaria (not from Munich) and kicked on with them til the wee hours of the morning - back at the Wombats bar because of that Happy Hour restarting!!!!
